In seeing the movie “Her“, it will be easy to oversimplify the plot from the movie trailer and the movie itself.  However, all throughout the film, as well as still following this film, layers of human and technological layers reveal themselves to allow, if you allow it, for yourself to evaluate what, where, and to what depth your own life takes, will take, and has taken.  Scarlett Johannson, Joaquin Phoenix, and the amazing actress that was also in the film American Hustler, Amy Adams, is only one of many reasons you will fall in love with this move.  There is also just the hint of the film Vanilla Skies film in this as well.  Also, the PANTS, you will notice the pants!  I am still thinking about this movie, and also, reflecting on many aspects I have often moved past about my own life.

In closing, the death of Phillip Seymour Hoffman, known way past the Hunger Games, shocked me to my core. I can’t say the words that come to mind, the same as I felt when walking out at the end of “Her.”  On all aspects, I think you will feel the same.  You will continue to feel way after this film, and Phillip Seymour Hoffman, your impact continues to reverberate in and will for many many years to come. I felt as this week, if I took the time to listen to my heartbeat, it will tell you many things you often forget to hear – “Her” brings these to the surface.
